How do you convert minutes to hours?
Divide the number of minutes by 60, because one hour contains exactly 60 minutes by convention. So 90 / 60 = 1.5 hours, and 225 / 60 = 3.75 hours. Calendar days that cross a daylight-saving transition can be 23 or 25 hours on the wall clock, but this converter answers the pure-duration question, not the wall-clock one.
Why does the calculator cap inputs at 1,000,000,000?
A billion minutes is roughly 1,901 years, already far beyond ordinary payroll, project, or uptime calculations. The finite cap defines the supported input range and catches accidental oversized entries before they produce unwieldy output. Numbers above the cap return no result.
